Sanergy received a 137 unit high power Solar based Aircraft Warning Lamp order from Sri Lanka Telecom.
Under the contract Sanergy will supply high power flashing Aircraft Warning Lamps for Telecom Towers. These Solar operated lamps are isolated from the grid supply and are therfore less prone to lightning strikes. Conventional lapms which are powered from the grid are very much prone to the lightning strikes making not only the lamps burn frequently but also damaging the telecom equipments due to the surge currents carried back by the same cables which powered the tower lamps. Further the cost of such situations are not limited to the equipment, which goes further with the loss of operations as well as labour costs in replacing and repairs.
